Our Team
Sine Draco is the evolution of aircraft modification and maintenance. This starts with the people and their cumulative industry knowledge.
The Sine Draco team has successfully completed numerous STC development programs across many airplane models and types. The team is industry recognized by airline and cargo operators, government agencies including the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) and by airplane Original Equipment Manufacturers such as The Boeing Company, Airbus SE, and The Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China (COMAC). Sine Draco’s core team represents literally hundreds of years of experience in major modification, engineering, and certification programs in the commercial aircraft aviation industry.
Our team also includes key members approved by the FAA as Designated Engineering Representatives (DER) and Designated Airworthiness Representatives (DAR) and are authorized by the FAA to approve and certify designs on behalf of the FAA.
Leadership
AMY ZHANG, Chairperson
Amy brings 30+ years aviation industry related experience in engineering management, international representation and business development. Amy is currently the Chairperson and majority owner of Sino Aviation Equipment Company, Ltd., a position she has held since 2001. She has previously held positions at theChina National Aero-Technology Import & Export Corporation, Shenzhen Branch (Import – Export of aviation equipment); Maintenance Engineer, China Southern Airlines Shenzhen Branch; Liaison Engineer MD82 Program - a Sino US cooperation program, Shanghai Aircraft Industry Corporation. She is a graduate of Beijing Aeronautics and Astronautics University, Aircraft Design.
ALEX DERIUGIN, Director and Chief Executive Officer
Alex has 30+ years successful experience providing fiscal, strategic and operations leadership in uniquely challenging situations, globally as President/CEO of an energy focused global technology company, in key senior leadership positions in Operations, Program Management, Customer Support and Global Supply Chain Management with the Boeing Company; and at Boeing – DeHavilland Director of Material (Purchasing) and Purchasing Operations. Skills include Operations and Supplier Management. He has extensive experience in aircraft production, passenger to freight conversions across numerous aircraft models and customer airlines, contract negotiations, lean manufacturing, strategic alliances, joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions.
STEPHEN LEE, Vice Chairman and Executive Vice President, Business Development
Stephen has 35+ years commercial aviation and aerospace industry experience including 21 years at The Boeing Company. His specific fields of emphasis are: 1. technical and certification program management, 2 sales and business development, 3. venture development and program management and 4. business acquisitions, partnership strategy formulation, consultation and execution. He has led teams to set up ventures in China including a Sino-US Aviation Modification and Maintenance Repair and Overhaul Venture (JV) in Shanghai, China. He brings expertise in direct sales and business development activities with Asian airlines, aviation customers and government agencies.
DAMIAN HORRIGAN, Ph D., Executive Vice President Technical
Damian brings 30+ years extensive successful engineering and manager experience in aviation industry at major international airlines and OEMs. His responsibilities include being directly responsible for engineering, engineering staff, implementation of engineering department procedures and development of new skills and capabilities. He works with customers to ensure Sine Draco products conform to customers’ requirements and customer needs
CHARLES MICHAEL STEWART, Senior Advisor
Mike has many years of commercial aviation and aerospace industry experience including 40 years at The Boeing Company. His experience include Business Unit Leader; Profit and Loss Responsibility; Manufacturing; Program Management; Supplier Management and Procurement; Customer Support with the Boeing Company. He led the development of the Company’s Freighter Conversion business unit where he developed market strategy and business model, with P&L responsibility for all Boeing freighter conversion programs, generating $500M annual revenue. He has worked directly with suppliers, partners, customers and regulatory authorities throughout the world including in China, Taiwan, Italy, Singapore, Israel and the United States.
JOHN BROM, Executive Vice President, Global Support Services
John has over 40 years of outstanding performance in the airline and high technology industry with a record of progress to increasingly important responsibilities in every employment. Characterized by others as an inspiring leader with proven skills in labor relations and negotiations, incisive in identifying problems, imaginative in finding and implementing solutions, and strong in comprehensive, accurate planning leading to improved productivity and profitability. Accomplished an impressive turnaround for a deficient main hub and consolidated heavy maintenance overhaul from two major base facilities to one base.
SUZY XIONG, Chief Financial Officer
Chinese CPA and CTA (Certified Tax Advisor) holder, with years of experience in auditing, investment banking, consulting, and private equity, focusing on corporate financial management, investment and financing planning and risk management.
Sales Team
CHRISTOPHER STAFFORD, Senior Director of Sales and Marketing
Chris joined Sine Draco bringing a diverse background with over 28 years of commercial aviation experience. Chris served in various engineering, marketing, product management, sales and business development roles with The Boeing Company and Aviation Partners Boeing (APB). Most recently, as Senior Director of Sales and Marketing with APB, Chris was responsible for managing APB business relationships, the promotion and sale of Blended Winglet technology and services for a global customer base. Chris brings extensive experience developing product and service strategies, product development roadmaps, and marketing and sales strategies for aviation products and services to the team.
KEVIN HUANG, Sales Manager
Kevin brings over 11 years of aircraft maintenance and engineering management to Sine Draco. With extensive experience in aircraft inspection, entry into service and lease redelivery, Kevin is extremely knowledgeable in second-hand aircraft introduction and lease return requirements. Previously, Kevin was in charge of engineering technology, planning and base maintenance as the Deputy General Manager of the Maintenance and Engineering Department of Okay Airways.
SAMUEL HU, Sales Program Manager
Samuel has over 10 years of program management, sales and business development experience in commercial aviation and aerospace industries. He brings extensive experience in program management for engineering, design and modification programs, systems integration, ground and flight test evaluations and certification support to the team. Currently, Samuel is focused on developing customer relationships, sales and customer engagement and program management of contracted programs.

A321-200 SDF Development Program
– Pre-modification ground and flight testing to support the design, development and certification of the A321-200 SDF was successfully completed in late-February.
